in-home caregiver and was a stay at home mom to her daughter for many years when she decided to pursue a career in childcare. She started off as an assistant teacher at a corporate daycare and quickly worked her way up to a lead teacher and then to the daycare's Health and Safety Manager before leaving to start Livi's Place.

Alma Bustos

Alma started her childcare career in 2016 in a corporate daycare as lead teacher with a classroom size of 13 to 15 children. She has three daughters who are now teenagers and lives in Seattle. Our Beliefs
After working closely with each other at a corporate daycare, we came together and discussed the pros and cons of the company we worked for. We soon realized that corporate child care was not for us. This is when our journey toward in-home daycare began. We knew there had to be a better option out there for kids and their families, and we want to be that option. We started this daycare with the belief that every child should feel loved and cared for above all else. Many daycare's focus so much on looking good on the surface that the kids become a second thought, that should never be the case! The kids will always be our top priority.
Training
Staff is trained in CPR, First Aid and Blood-borne pathogens. We have annual trainings in safe sleep and abuse/neglect, as well as a minimum of 10 hours in continued education about early childhood.
